Eid Return Traffic: Vehicle Volume on Central Java-Jakarta Toll Road Surges 97 Percent
SOLO, KOMPAS.com - Today is predicted to be the peak of the 2026 Eid return flow. Meanwhile, the increase in vehicle volume has already occurred until this morning, Tuesday (24/3/2026).
Central Java Police reported a rise in vehicle volume on the Trans Java Toll Road of up to 97.7 percent compared to the previous day.
The traffic volume calculation covers the number of vehicles entering and exiting at the Prambanan, Banyumanik, Kalikangkung, and Pejagan toll gates from 23-24 March 2026 starting from 6:00 WIB for 24 hours.
βThe highest increase in traffic volume occurred at the Pejagan GT, reaching 14,234 vehicles with the peak crossing at 15:00-16:00 WIB, that figure up 97.7 percent from the previous day,β said Aidil to KOMPAS.com, Tuesday (24/3/2026).
Meanwhile, the national one-way traffic engineering scheme, which initially started from Cirebon towards Jakarta, has been extended to Weleri Kendal at KM 390 since 20:00 WIB.

GT Pejagan
Entering vehicles reached 14,234 units with the peak crossing at 15:00 - 16:00 WIB, namely 804 vehicles per hour. Up 7,033 units or 97.7 percent compared to the previous day.
Exiting vehicles reached 3,320 units with the peak crossing at 13:00 - 14:00 WIB namely 459 vehicles per hour. Down 6,891 units or -67.5 percent from the previous day.
GT Kalikangkung
Entering vehicles reached 56,233 units, with the peak crossing at 11:00 - 12:00 WIB namely 2,009 vehicles per hour. Up 25,345 units or 82 percent compared to the previous day.
Exiting vehicles reached 20,822 units, with the peak crossing at 15:00 - 16:00 WIB namely 3,395 vehicles per hour. Down 24,643 vehicles or 54.2 percent compared to the previous day.
GT Banyumanik
Entering vehicles reached 57,289 units, with the peak crossing at 14:00 - 15:00 WIB, namely 3,324 vehicles per hour. Up 10,094 vehicles or 21.4 percent compared to the previous day.
Exiting vehicles reached 36,379 units, with the peak crossing at 10:00 - 11:00 WIB namely 3,642 vehicles per hour. Up 16,814 vehicles or 80.7 percent from the previous day.
GT Prambanan
Entering vehicles reached 15,270 units, with the peak crossing at 21:00 - 22:00 WIB namely 1,306 vehicles per hour. Up 4,959 vehicles or 48.1 percent from the previous day.
Exiting vehicles reached 25,287 units, with the peak crossing at 14:00 - 15:00 WIB namely 1,784 vehicles per hour. Down 4,037 vehicles or 13.8 percent from the previous day.
