Eid Return Traffic: One-Way Route from Kalikangkung Toll Gate KM 414 to KM 70 Officially Implemented

Semarang, VIVA – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, together with three ministers, opened the one-way route for the Eid return traffic 2026 starting from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) in Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday. The three ministers who joined in opening the one-way route were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, and Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin. The opening of the one-way route during the Eid return traffic was marked by the raising of the flag by the National Police Chief and the three ministers. According to Pratikno, the opening of the one-way route is part of the return flow management to alleviate congestion. “This effort aims to ensure the safety and comfort of drivers,” he said. Meanwhile, the National Police Chief stated that this traffic engineering has been preceded by the implementation of a partial one-way route. The implementation of the one-way route nationwide, he said, coincides with the peak of the return flow expected to occur on Tuesday. The National Police Chief said the one-way route is implemented from KM 414 at Semarang’s Kalikangkung Toll Gate to KM 70 at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. After the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, he continued, traffic engineering will be carried out to avoid congestion towards Jakarta. He hopes that the public returning from their hometowns will continue to maintain security and safety during their journey.
