Eid Homecoming Travel Made Easier, Transport Tickets Now Available on GoPay
GoPay has introduced convenience for those wishing to return to their hometowns during this year’s Eid celebration.
Through the Transport & Travel feature in the GoPay application, users can now purchase flight tickets, inter-city and inter-provincial bus (AKAP) tickets, and ferry tickets in an integrated manner within a single application.
Through this feature, users no longer need to switch to other applications as the entire ticket purchase process can be conducted directly within the GoPay application. This service integration allows users to plan their homecoming journey in a simpler and more efficient manner.
This convenience is considered relevant for those preparing for travel ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Kelvin Timotius, Head of GoPay Wallet, stated that the introduction of this feature is part of GoPay’s efforts to continue offering services that align with users’ daily needs.
“As part of everyday life for Indonesians, GoPay continues to endeavour to introduce features that are relevant to user needs. One of these is the ‘Transport & Travel’ feature which allows users to purchase intercity transport tickets more conveniently through just one GoPay application,” said Kelvin in a press release on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
For AKAP bus services, GoPay partners with DAMRI and redBus. For ferry travel, integration is conducted alongside PELNI.
With this integration, users can select a transport mode according to their travel needs within one service ecosystem.
This is expected to provide greater flexibility for those planning to return home, whether using air, land, or sea transport.
Subsequently, users can determine their departure and destination cities, select departure times, and complete payment without needing to switch applications.
This integrated process allows users to complete all stages of ticket booking within one service flow.
Through integration with various travel platforms, GoPay is providing easier access for the public in planning their Eid homecoming journey.
