PURWAKARTA — To anticipate the surge in the number of Eid holiday travellers using rest facilities during the 2026 Eid travel season, several rest areas have prepared accordingly.

As in previous years’ Eid holidays, travellers are advised not to spend excessive time using rest area facilities. Motorists wishing to rest at rest areas whilst using toll roads are urged to stop for a maximum of 30 minutes only.

Frince Rajagukguk, head of Travoy rest area at kilometre 88A, stated that toll road operators, particularly PT Jasa Marga, have implemented a maximum 30-minute parking time limit at rest areas, especially during busy periods such as the Eid travel season.

“This policy aims to allow travellers heading home to take turns with other motorists visiting the rest area,” he said when met at Rest Area KM 88A on Sunday (8 March 2026).

To make the journey more enjoyable, travellers are also requested to maintain cleanliness at rest areas.

“This regulation is applied so that the journey home becomes more comfortable when using a vehicle,” he added.
