Eid Holiday: Transjakarta Bus Fares Cut to Rp 1 per Passenger
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) will adjust its operational pattern during the Eid 1447 Hijri holiday period to ensure safety and smooth operations whilst anticipating increased public movement during this period.
Transjakarta Managing Director Welfizon Yuza stated that the operational plan will run from 13-29 March 2026. One of the key adjustments will be a delayed start on the first day of Eid.
“On the first day of Eid, Transjakarta will commence operations later than the regular schedule. Buses will begin operating at 09.00 WIB to allow drivers and field staff to perform Eid prayers,” said Welfizon in Jakarta on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
However, the company will apply a special fare of Rp 1 for passengers on Eid day, in accordance with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo’s directive. “Passengers can enjoy Transjakarta services at a special fare of Rp 1 on Eid day,” said Welfizon.
He explained that during the Eid holiday period (18-24 March 2026), Transjakarta will also deploy routes serving major tourist destinations in Jakarta. Regular services will operate from 05.00 until 23.59 WIB during this period, whilst tour buses will run from 10.00 to 17.00 WIB.
Transjakarta’s tourist routes include Route 5 and 1W (Ancol), Route 6, 6A, 6B, 6V, 5N, 6N, and 7E (Ragunan Zoo), Route 7D (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah), and Route 1, 2, 2A, 3, 3H, 12, 1A, 12B, and others (Old Town and National Monument). Transjakarta will also support public movement to terminals, stations, and ports.
