Eid Holiday: Jakarta Car Free Day Cancelled on Sunday 22 March

Due to the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday, the Car Free Day (CFD) or Motor Vehicle-Free Day (HBKB) activity in the DKI Jakarta area for tomorrow, Sunday (22/3), has been confirmed to be cancelled.

“In commemoration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, the implementation of the Motor Vehicle-Free Day (HBKB) on Sunday, 22 March 2026, is CANCELLED,” stated the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency via its official Instagram account.

With the CFD cancelled, Jakarta residents and surrounding areas are predicted to flock to tourist spots during the second day of Eid. Locations such as Ancol, Ragunan Wildlife Park, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) are certain to be bustling with visitors.

To support residents’ activities during the Eid holiday, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is providing Transjakarta, MRT, LRT Jakarta, and Jabodebek facilities at a fare of Rp 1. This special fare applies for two days of Eid, namely 21 and 22 March 2026.

In addition to the CFD cancellation, the Odd-Even System (Gage) in DKI Jakarta is suspended during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday until Tuesday (24/3).

“In connection with the Public Holidays and Collective Leave for Nyepi Day (Saka New Year 1948) and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H from 18-24 March 2026, the implementation of the Odd-Even System on various roads in Jakarta is CANCELLED,” stated the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.
