The availability of fuel is sufficient to meet public needs during the mudik exodus, return flows, and tourism activities. Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) stated that energy supplies, particularly fuel (BBM), remain under control amid the heavy tourist traffic in the Bogor, Puncak, and Cianjur (Bopunjur) area during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday. BPH Migas Committee Member Fathul Nugroho, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday, said that the surge in public mobility during the 2026 Eid holiday in the popular tourist area proceeded orderly and safely. “BPH Migas conducted direct monitoring at petrol stations (SPBU) along strategic routes frequently traversed by the public, including the Jagorawi Toll Road, Bogor, and the Puncak-Cianjur route. Alhamdulillah, the supply conditions are safe and under control, with no issues in fuel delivery or distribution,” he explained during a visit to the Tanah Sareal SPBU in Bogor, West Java, on Sunday (22/3/2026). Fathul explained that fuel supplies in the Bopunjur area are sourced from the Plumpang Fuel Terminal in Jakarta and are running smoothly. “The availability of fuel is sufficient to meet public needs during the mudik exodus, return flows, and tourism activities,” he clarified. To anticipate needs at congestion-prone points, especially on the Puncak-Cianjur route, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared the Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) 135, including fuel motorbikes at several strategic points and alternative routes. “The motorist service tasked with delivering fuel to drivers who run out of fuel is expected to assist the public needing emergency fuel without having to search for an SPBU amid traffic jams,” he added. During the visit, Fathul spoke with the public about the services provided by SPBU staff. Additionally, water content tests in the fuel tanks at the SPBU showed no water in the facilities. “We ensure that fuel quality remains in accordance with regulations. It is hoped that with these good fuel test results, the public will feel more comfortable and safe using fuel,” Fathul said. Furthermore, although supplies are secure, Fathul advised the public to be wary of traffic conditions on the Puncak route, which implements one-way engineering when vehicle volumes increase. “Although fuel availability on the Puncak-Cianjur route is safe, the public should not forget to monitor traffic conditions that often apply one-way during congestion to ensure a comfortable journey,” Fathul stated.
