Jakarta — PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) recorded a 64 percent increase in sales during February 2026 compared to the previous month.

Deputy Sales & Marketing Managing Director of PT SIS Dony Ismi Saputra stated that February marked the period with the highest surge due to seasonal Eid holiday factors.

“Compared to January, the increase is approximately 64 percent,” said Dony following a press conference for Suzuki Roadside Service 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to him, two primary drivers underpin the increase. First is the seasonal index factor ahead of Eid. The relatively long holiday period prompted consumers to prepare vehicles earlier, including for mudik requirements.

He noted that many consumers sought to obtain vehicles in February so they could be used during the mudik period and Eid holiday season.

The second factor is the financial momentum of the public. Year-end bonuses received in December and Eid allowances disbursed in late February or early March created greater purchasing capacity.

Dony added that the increase occurred not only in passenger vehicles but also in commercial vehicles. Demand for commercial vehicles was also driven by the need for goods distribution and business activities ahead of Eid.

He expressed hope that the positive trend could continue through subsequent months. The company is targeting increased sales volume and market share in 2026, capitalising on sustained consumer spending momentum.

The homecoming journey this year is also projected to be substantial. A survey by the Ministry of Transportation projected approximately 143.91 million people would travel during Eid 2026, with 76.24 million people using private vehicles.

Asst. to Aftersales Department Head of Service at PT SIS Hariadi stated that vehicle preparation before travel is considered more cost and time-efficient.

“Our recommendation is that preparing vehicles before undertaking a journey would be more efficient in terms of both cost and time,” said Hariadi.

He added that customer enthusiasm towards the roadside service programme was previously reflected in over 4,000 service intakes during last year’s homecoming period, and that figure is projected to increase this year.
