Eid Holiday: 23,000 Vehicles Enter Central Java Until 14 March
Approximately 23,468 vehicles entered Central Java (Jateng) through the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) in Semarang city ahead of the shared holiday period for Eid. Meanwhile, 16,361 vehicles exited Central Java through the same toll gate.
The data was recorded from 13 March at 06:00 WIB until 14 March at 06:00 WIB, released by PT Jasa Marga Semarang Batang (JSB) and Trans Marga Jateng (TMJ).
A total of 23,486 vehicles were recorded leaving the Kalikangkung toll gate heading towards Semarang or Central Java from the direction of Jakarta. Meanwhile, 16,361 vehicles were heading towards Jakarta from the Kalikangkung toll gate.
At the Banyumanik toll gate, 29,521 vehicles were recorded heading towards Surabaya. Meanwhile, vehicles entering Semarang from Surabaya were recorded at 19,359 units.
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police (Kabid Humas Polda Jateng), who serves as the Task Force Head for Public Relations of Operasi Ketupat Candi 2026, Senior Commissioner Artanto, explained that his office continued to monitor traffic flow developments at several main entry points to Central Java. Today marked the first day of the Operasi Ketupat Candi (Candi Ketupat Operation), running from 13-14 March 2025.
βOn the first day of implementing Operasi Ketupat Candi 2026, the flow of vehicles entering Central Java through the Kalikangkung toll gate has already begun to increase. Therefore, we continue to monitor and coordinate with all operational task forces to ensure traffic flow remains smooth,β said Artanto in his written statement on Saturday (14/3).
