Thousands of Part-Time Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK PW) in East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), have yet to receive their Idul Fitri 2026 Eid holiday allowance (THR). More than 3,000 PPPK PW, the majority being educators, are still awaiting the disbursement of this entitlement.

“Around three and a half thousand, if I’m not mistaken. Almost all of them are educators who haven’t received their THR,” stated Bambang Sakra Gempita, Chairman of the East Lombok PPPK PW Forum, on Monday (30/3/2026).

Bambang explained that the THR for PPPK PW, particularly teachers, is funded from two sources: the Regional Budget (APBD) and School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds. Up to 20 percent of BOS funds can be allocated for teachers’ THR.

“There is 20 percent that can be used; the Regent has already issued a letter regarding the use of these BOS funds. We just have to be patient for now, even though it’s delayed, but the Regent said this THR will definitely be paid,” Bambang said.

Meanwhile, East Lombok Regent Haerul Warisin stated that the delay in disbursing THR to PPPK PW is due to administrative obstacles and bank account data issues. He assured that all PPPK PW will receive their THR.

“We’ve already discussed it; all part-time PPPK will receive it. Why haven’t some received it yet? There are errors with accounts, and some administrations are still being processed; everything is in progress,” explained the Regent, affectionately known as Iron.

Furthermore, Regent Iron assured that no PPPK PW will be laid off, despite the central government’s budget-cutting policy. In fact, his office has written to the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) to change the status of PPPK PW to full-time PPPK.

“Not to mention PPPK; even employees not yet in the database won’t be laid off by us. We’ve written to BKN, and in the near future, we’ll visit there again to follow up. This is one of our efforts,” Iron said.
