Eid Exodus: Tens of Thousands of Private Vehicles Enter Solo via Ngemplak Toll Gate on H-3 Lebaran

As many as 37,000 vehicles entered the city of Solo through the Ngemplak Toll Gate on H-5 before Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026. According to the President Director of PT JSN, Mery Natacha Panjaitan, on H-3 Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026, traffic heading to Solo via the Ngemplak GT was still dominated by private vehicles (Group I) during the 2026 homecoming flow.

The total number of vehicles passing through, both entering and exiting via the Ngemplak GT during the period from H-10 to H-5 Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026, reached 66,728 vehicles.

“This figure increased by 2% compared to normal traffic of 65,215 vehicles,” Mery stated in Solo on Wednesday (18/3).

Meanwhile, the volume of outbound vehicle traffic through all GTs on the Solo-Ngawi section (Adi Soemarmo Airport, Ngemplak, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar, Sragen, East Sragen, and Ngawi) during the same period was recorded at 146,720 vehicles.

This number, she said, is still below the normal figure of 138,012 vehicles. PT JSN, she added, continues to optimise operational services across the entire Solo-Ngawi Toll Road section, by adding personnel to speed up transactions at toll gates, operating Oblique Approach Booth (OAB) lanes, and improving services at rest areas, including parking area arrangements and toilet facility cleanliness.

“Various anticipatory measures have been prepared, from personnel readiness, optimisation of transaction lanes, to ensuring all supporting facilities function properly,” she said.

During the Eid al-Fitr 2026 period, PT JSN is also enhancing coordination with the police and all work partners to ensure smooth traffic flow and road user safety. Even the readiness of infrastructure and facilities, including rest areas, towing services, and traffic information facilities, will operate 24 hours.

PT JSN advises all toll road users to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, have sufficient e-money balances, and refuel before starting their journey.

“If feeling tired, road users are urged to rest at the provided facilities. Always be careful and obey the applicable regulations on the toll road.
