REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIREBON – Traffic flow towards Cirebon on the Cipali Toll Road was observed to be busy but smooth on Eid al-Fitr day, Saturday (21/3/2026). Meanwhile, the flow towards Jakarta tended to be quiet.

Based on data from 00:00 to 12:00 WIB, approximately 18,000 vehicles passed through Cikopo towards Cirebon. This traffic volume was 10.8% lower than the volume at the same time yesterday.

In the opposite direction, there were around 3,000 vehicles passing through Cikopo towards Jakarta.

“Overall, the traffic volume on the Cipali Toll Road section was monitored to increase by 6.9% compared to the volume at the same time yesterday,” said Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo.

He explained that the increase in vehicles heading towards Cirebon started to be seen since 10:00 WIB. This coincided with the movement of people after the Eid al-Fitr prayer.

Meanwhile, for vehicle users still on the journey, they can follow the Eid al-Fitr prayer at type A rest areas on the Cipali Toll Road section. Namely, at KM 102 and KM 166 towards Cirebon, as well as KM 101 and KM 164 towards Jakarta.

Ardam stated that his side urged road users to rest at the nearest rest area, or they could utilise rest stops outside the toll gate if the rest area parking capacity is full. With a closed transaction system, the toll fare remains the same even if road users exit and re-enter the toll road for resting.

“We also remind road users to ensure the vehicle condition is in prime condition, maintain a safe driving distance, and ensure the e-money card balance is sufficient before entering the toll road,” he said.
