Eid al-Fitr Greetings: Prabowo Phones Several Muslim Country Leaders
President Prabowo Subianto telephoned several leaders of Muslim countries to exchange Eid al-Fitr greetings. This Eid al-Fitr outreach was conveyed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
In a post on the secretariat.kabinet Instagram account, Teddy detailed President Prabowo’s packed schedule during Eid al-Fitr. Prabowo was known to have spent the night of takbiran in North Sumatra, performed Eid prayers in Aceh, and then returned to Jakarta for halal bihalal with the public.
“After spending the night of takbiran in North Sumatra, Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh, and halal bihalal with the public at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta,” said Teddy, as seen on Sunday (22/3/2026).
Teddy revealed that Prabowo also conducted greetings via telephone with several Muslim country leaders. The leaders contacted included President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman.
“In the past few days during this Eid al-Fitr atmosphere, President Prabowo also carried out greetings via telephone with Muslim country leaders, including President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman,” he explained.
Teddy stated that Prabowo would also contact several other heads of state. According to him, these greetings embody the close brotherhood and strengthen bilateral relations between countries amid the Lebaran atmosphere.
“Several other heads of state will also be contacted in the near future, pending confirmation from each country,” he said.
“These greetings represent the closeness of brotherhood and cooperation between Muslim countries, while also strengthening bilateral relations amid the atmosphere full of blessings,” he added.
