Eid al-Fitr 2026: TransJakarta to Operate from 09:00 WIB Today

JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (TransJakarta) has adjusted its operating hours for the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, or Lebaran 2026, on Saturday (21/3/2026), starting at 09:00 WIB. This adjustment is made to give drivers and field staff the opportunity to perform Eid prayers. Managing Director of PT Transportasi Jakarta, Welfizon Yuza, stated that the change in operating hours only applies on the first day of Lebaran. “On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, 21 March 2026, TransJakarta will start operations later than the regular schedule, namely at 09:00 WIB, to give drivers and field staff the chance to perform Eid prayers,” he said in his statement quoted on Friday (20/3/2026). In addition, TransJakarta is also implementing special fares on Eid day. “Passengers can enjoy TransJakarta services with a special fare of Rp 1 on Eid day,” Welfizon said. From 18–24 March 2026, the company is also preparing routes to major tourist destinations with regular service hours from 05:00–23:59 WIB. Meanwhile, tourist bus services will operate from 10:00–17:00 WIB. Access to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is also strengthened via route 7D. Meanwhile, historical and iconic capital city tourist areas such as Kota Tua Jakarta and Monumen Nasional are served by various main routes, including 1, 2, 2A, 3, 3H, 12, 1A, and 12B.
