Eid al-Fitr 2026: TransJakarta Operations to Begin at 09:00 WIB
JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (TransJakarta) is adjusting its operational pattern on the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1447H or Lebaran 2026, with bus services commencing at 09:00 WIB.
This policy is implemented to provide an opportunity for drivers and field staff to perform Eid prayers.
“On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, TransJakarta will start operations later than the regular schedule. Buses will begin operating at 09:00 WIB to give drivers and field staff the chance to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers,” said PT Transportasi Jakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in a written statement quoted on Thursday (19/3/2026).
In addition to the operational time adjustment, TransJakarta is also applying special fares on Lebaran day itself.
“Customers can enjoy TransJakarta services at a special fare of Rp 1 on Lebaran day,” Welfizon stated.
Overall, TransJakarta services are adjusted from 13-29 March 2026. This policy refers to the operational plan from the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency to support smooth public mobility during the mudik and Lebaran holiday period.
“This step is a follow-up to the 2026 Lebaran Operational Plan Letter from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency to support smooth mudik flows, return flows, and access to tourist locations,” Welfizon said.
During that period, TransJakarta is also reactivating route 10C serving the Tanjung Priok Port area.
To accommodate long-distance train passengers, the operational hours of routes passing through intercity stations such as Gambir and Pasar Senen are extended until 23:59 WIB on 25-29 March 2026.
TransJakarta is also preparing special Lebaran (EID) assistance routes connecting Pulo Gebang Terminal with several other terminals in Jakarta, such as Senen, Tanjung Priok, Kampung Rambutan, Pasar Minggu, and Kalideres.
This service operates from 00:00-05:00 WIB during 25-27 March 2026.
On the other hand, during the Lebaran holiday period from 18-24 March 2026, TransJakarta is optimising services to tourist areas, such as Ancol, Ragunan, TMII, as well as Kota Tua and Monas.
