This promotion is valid for 2 days (21 and 22 March 2026),” stated the official Instagram @dishubdkijakarta on Thursday (19/3/2026). Residents and tourists in Jakarta can enjoy the 2026 Eid al-Fitr promotion with the following requirements. Users can utilise electronic money cards from Bank Mandiri, BCA, BNI, BRI, as well as JakLingko, KMT, and Jakcard. The Rp 1 public transport payment method also applies to the JakLingko and MyMRTJ apps. Meanwhile, Mikrotrans and TransJakarta Cares services are included in the free transport modes already available at Rp 0, including on regular days. Specifically on the night of takbiran, MRT Jakarta’s operating hours are extended until 01:00 WIB. MRT Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary Division Head, Rendy Primartantyo, stated that all 13 stations will continue to operate according to the provisions, with a total of 219 train trips served by seven train sets, as quoted by Kompas.com. Rendy emphasised that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, MRT Jakarta will maintain service standards to ensure optimal operations. All stations will open with normal services, accompanied by additional staff to ensure passenger comfort, both in station areas and on trains. He also urged the public to remain orderly, maintain cleanliness, and follow staff instructions while using MRT Jakarta services during the holiday period. MRT Jakarta is also presenting several attractive programmes during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, including edutourism in collaboration with the Jakarta Experience Board, point-of-interest promotions via the MyMRTJ app, and various activities held around station areas.
