JAKARTA - During the H-15 to H+15 period, or 6 March to 5 April 2026, three passenger terminals recorded the highest activity during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr transportation period: Tanjung Balai Karimun with 268,777 passengers, followed by Terminal Gapura Surya Nusantara (GSN) in the Tanjung Perak Port area with 267,678 passengers, and Tanjungpinang with 263,675 passengers.

VP of Corporate Communications for Pelindo Multi Terminal, Farid Chairmawan, explained that during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr transportation period, the company managed 15 passenger terminals spread across various regions in Indonesia, covering Sumatra, Java, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi.

“This is supported by cross-stakeholder coordination and strengthened on-site services. We undertake these efforts to provide a safe, comfortable, and memorable travel experience for every passenger,” Farid added.

The total passenger movement during the Eid al-Fitr transportation period reached 1.12 million people.

This figure represents a 14.83% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, which recorded 983,454 passengers.

Farid stated that amid this high mobility, Pelindo Multi Terminal hopes that every journey undertaken by the public is not merely a transfer from one place to another, but also becomes a precious moment for reuniting and sharing happiness with family.

“With continuously improved services, the company is committed to being part of that journey by connecting distances, ensuring comfort, and making sure every step home is safe and meaningful,” he emphasised.
