Eid al-Adha Shared Leave Draws 16,000 Visitors to Ragunan Zoo
Residents have taken advantage of the Eid al-Adha shared leave day to visit Ragunan Zoo. By late afternoon, 16,000 people had visited the zoo.
At Ragunan Zoo on Thursday, 28 June 2026, around 14:30 WIB, many visitors remained, predominantly families and children.
One of the most popular spots is the elephant enclosure, where enthusiastic visitors took photos.
Ragunan Zoo’s head of public relations, Wahyudi Bambang, reported 16,810 visitors by 15:00 WIB.
“Eid al-Adha and shared leave visitor data: 16,810 visitors as of 15:00 WIB on 28 June,” Bambang told journalists.
Today’s visitor count exceeded Wednesday’s 15,484. Officials predict over 35,000 visitors over the two-day holiday period.
“The forecast is 35,000 visitors over two days,” he added.
