Eid al-Adha Eve: Jasa Marga Records 321,039 Vehicles Departing Jabotabek
PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Managing Director Rivan A Purwantono reported that traffic volume exiting the Jabotabek region on the eve of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH, or Tuesday-Wednesday (26-27 May 2026), reached 321,039 vehicles. Rivan stated that this figure is the cumulative traffic volume from four main toll gates (GT), including Cikampek Utama (towards Trans-Java), Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung), Cikupa (towards Merak), and Ciawi (towards Puncak). “The total traffic volume exiting Jabotabek increased by 19.62% compared to normal traffic (268,392 vehicles),” Rivan said in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday (28 May 2026).
Rivan explained that outbound traffic from Jabotabek was distributed across three directions: 156,206 vehicles (48.7%) eastbound (Trans-Java and Bandung), 86,786 (27%) west towards Merak, and 78,047 (24.3%) south towards Puncak.
He noted that traffic volume exiting Jabotabek on Eid al-Adha day (1447 AH), Wednesday (27 May 2026), was 124,719 vehicles. According to Rivan, vehicle movement increased during this holiday period.
“Although the cumulative figure was 8.51% lower than normal traffic, Jasa Marga still recorded increased public mobility eastbound (to Trans-Java and Bandung) by 6.85% and southbound (to Puncak) by 5.90% compared to normal traffic,” Rivan said.
Observing traffic movements during the Eid al-Adha, Vesak, and Pancasila Day long holidays, Rivan added that Jasa Marga ensures 24-hour emergency assistance via the call centre at number 133. He stated that the call centre is ready to monitor smooth travel and address all vehicle-related incident reports.
