Lombok Tengah — InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and local tenants, partners, and stakeholders distributed 29 sacrificial animals to communities around The Mandalika, The Nusa Dua, and The Golo Mori during Eid al-Adha 1447 H. The move aims to strengthen social ties with local communities, including buffer villages. The involvement of multiple stakeholders reflects a growing spirit of togetherness within the area’s ecosystem, with collective efforts to extend benefits to local recipients. Acting CEO of ITDC, Ahmad Fajar, said Eid al-Adha is not only a time for sharing but also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of harmonious relationships between tourism destinations and surrounding communities. He added that the presence of tourism areas should deliver shared benefits through harmonious social relationships and stakeholder participation in the area’s ecosystem. “Through this occasion, we aim to share happiness and strengthen unity with communities that have grown alongside the area,” Ahmad stated in a release on Thursday, 28 May 2026. For ITDC, area development is not just about physical infrastructure and investment, but also ensuring the area develops in harmony with its social environment. “Therefore, the participation of tenants, partners, businesses, and stakeholders in this sacrificial activity demonstrates a spirit of mutual cooperation to deliver shared benefits,” Ahmad said. At The Mandalika, the symbolic animal distribution took place on Monday, 25 May 2026, at Bazaar Mandalika, with General Manager of The Mandalika, Pari Wijaya, and ITDC management present. A total of 26 sacrificial animals—14 cattle and 12 goats—were distributed through collaboration between ITDC, tenants, area partners, and local businesses. The animals were distributed to various entities, including the NTB Provincial Government, Central Lombok Regency Government, Central Lombok MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council), mosques, Islamic boarding schools, security personnel, youth groups, and local village and hamlet communities. This includes seven buffer villages of The Mandalika: Kuta, Sengkol, Mertak, Prabu, Sukadana, Pengengat, and Rembitan. Kuta Village Secretary Lalu Mardan praised ITDC and area stakeholders for their attention and concern towards buffer village communities. “We are grateful for ITDC’s attention and the involvement of all parties,” he said. Such initiatives not only provide benefits but also strengthen closeness and unity between residents and The Mandalika area. This presence and attention make communities feel included and part of the area’s development. “We hope the positive relations, communication, and collaboration can be maintained so the area’s benefits are increasingly felt by the community,” he added. In addition to The Mandalika, sacrificial animals were distributed at The Nusa Dua and The Golo Mori. At The Nusa Dua, ITDC donated one cow to the ITDC Mushalla management on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. The symbolic ceremony was conducted by The Nusa Dua management, represented by Vice President of Operations and Services I Putu Trisna Wijaya and Vice President of Commercial and Relations Made Purnama Damayanti. At The Golo Mori, two cows were distributed on Friday, 22 May 2026, to local communities via At-Taqwa Mosque in Soknar Hamlet and Nur Khotimah Mosque in Ra’ong Hamlet, through Golo Mori Village Head. The handover was conducted by General Manager Wahyuaji Munarwiyanto with ITDC management, benefiting 142 households in Soknar Hamlet and 135 in Ra’ong Hamlet. Ahmad stated that Eid al-Adha teaches sincerity, compassion, and unity, which ITDC aims to foster in all areas. He hopes the initiative serves as a reminder that tourism areas are inseparable from local communities. “When communities grow together, feel included, and benefit from the area, it gains greater significance. It is this spirit of unity we aim to preserve across all ITDC areas,” Ahmad concluded.
