Eid 2026: TransJakarta Sets Rp1 Fares and 24-Hour Service at Strategic Points
PT Transportasi Jakarta (TransJakarta) has announced operational adjustments from 13 to 29 March 2026, introducing additional routes during Eid and symbolic Rp1 fares for customers during Eid and Lebaran 2026. Operating hours for several TransJakarta routes serving intercity railway stations, such as Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station, will be extended until 23:59 on 25–29 March 2026.
TransJakarta Chief Executive Director Welfizon Yuza emphasised that this policy represents a follow-up to directives from the Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency to ensure safe and smooth travel during mudik (exodus), balik (return), and tourism journeys.
During the Eid period, TransJakarta will strengthen connectivity to major transport hubs including terminals, stations, and ports. This includes reactivating Route 10C serving the Tanjung Priok Port area, which will function as a shuttle for holiday travellers using sea vessels, with schedules adjusted to ship arrivals.
To maintain continuous mobility, the AMARI (Night Transport) service will operate 24 hours on main corridors (Corridors 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14), ensuring the public can travel at any time, even during peak mudik hours. TransJakarta will also provide special EID1 to EID5 routes operating during early morning hours (00:00–05:00) on 25–27 March 2026, connecting Pulo Gebang Terminal with strategic terminals including Senen, Tanjung Priok, Kampung Rambutan, Pasar Minggu, and Kalideres.
On Eid day, expected to fall on 20 or 21 March 2026, TransJakarta operations will commence later than usual at 09:00 to allow drivers and staff to perform Eid prayers.
On Eid day itself, the public can enjoy TransJakarta services with a symbolic fare of just Rp1. This policy represents both appreciation and support for public mobility during the celebration.
Beyond mudik considerations, TransJakarta is also anticipating increased local tourism during the Eid holiday period (18–24 March 2026). Several routes to popular destinations have been prepared with extended operating hours of 05:00–23:59 for regular services and 10:00–17:00 for tourist buses.
TransJakarta ensures that all these adjustments will not disrupt existing regular services. Service quality will be maintained amid increased demand during the Eid period.
The public is encouraged to monitor the latest information through official TransJakarta channels and the TJ:TransJakarta application to ensure comfortable and well-planned travel.
