Eid 2026: Pulo Gebang Terminal Passengers Reach 113,000 People
The Integrated Pulo Gebang Terminal recorded a total of 113,104 passengers during the 2026 Eid transport period from 1 to 28 March, with mudik flows still dominating over return trips.
According to data from the 2026 Eid Transport Command Post, the number of departures reached 71,533 passengers supported by 9,782 buses. Meanwhile, arrivals totalled 41,571 passengers using 8,794 buses.
Commander of Squad 2 at Pulo Gebang Terminal, Anwar Mansyur, revealed that daily arrival data indicates the beginning of return movement flows.
“For today’s arrival data from 00:00 to 2:00 p.m., the number of buses arriving at the terminal is 525 units with 3,688 passengers,” said Anwar Mansyur in Jakarta on Sunday.
He explained that although return flows are starting to appear, the volume remains fluctuating and has not yet matched the peak of mudik flows.
The peak departure was recorded on 18 March 2026 with 6,435 passengers in one day, supported by 530 buses. The increasing trend was evident since 13 March and exceeded 6,000 passengers on 17 to 18 March before declining after 20 March.
Meanwhile, return flows have experienced limited increases in the last few days. During the period from 24 to 28 March, average arrivals reached around 4,000 passengers per day.
Anwar added that the terminal serves various inter-city and inter-provincial routes, particularly to Sumatra regions such as Lampung, Palembang, Jambi, up to Medan, as well as to Central Java, East Java, Bali, and Bima in West Nusa Tenggara.
The management estimates that return flows will continue for the next few days as the Eid holiday period ends. Coordination is ongoing to ensure smooth services for passengers.
Additionally, service evaluations are conducted through user satisfaction surveys.
“We have surveys on public satisfaction with the facilities or services provided by the terminal. On average, the results show they are satisfied,” said Anwar.
To support comfort, various facilities are provided at the four-storey terminal, starting from AC lodging rooms at Rp15,000 per night, escalators and lifts, to non-cash transaction facilities at UMKM stalls.
Additionally, ATMs, places of worship, separation of arrival and departure areas, voice information systems, lactation rooms, free health check services, reading corners, and children’s play areas are available.
