Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono stated that as of Saturday, the first day of Eid al-Fitr 2026, no surge in health cases has been recorded at hospitals across the country. “We are monitoring through the Crisis Centre, and there has been no extraordinary increase in cases of any disease at the hospitals,” said Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono when contacted in Jakarta on Saturday. His side continues to monitor public health conditions through the Ministry of Health’s Health Crisis Centre. According to him, health case increases reported by health facilities usually occur after the Lebaran holiday period ends. “It will be after the holiday,” he said. “So we equipped treatment before the holiday, which is the most important thing. We provided medication until the holiday period is over,” said Dante Saksono Harbuwono. According to him, both adult and child patients with serious health conditions receive extra attention to prevent their conditions from worsening after Eid al-Fitr. “Everyone, adults and children with a history of chronic diseases, for example diabetes, hypertension, we handle all of them,” said Dante Saksono Harbuwono.
