Eid 2026 Countdown: When Will DKI Provincial Government's Free Mudik Depart?

JAKARTA – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing free mudik transport for 30,774 residents ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

The number of participants has increased from the initial estimate of 26,000 due to strong public enthusiasm.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the free mudik departure is scheduled for 17 March 2026 from the National Monument (Monas) area.

“The number of participants has increased. What was initially estimated at only 26,000, but due to high enthusiasm, we now have 30,774 verified participants,” said Pramono at City Hall on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

The free mudik programme and Ramadhan activities are expected to increase mobility and boost the spirit of Jakarta residents during the holy month.
