Egypt: Two-state solution is the path to Middle East peace and stability
Cairo (ANTARA) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stated on Tuesday (29/9) that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East, reaffirming that peace remains a strategic choice for Egypt.
Al-Sisi made these remarks during a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, cabinet members, senior officials, experts, and specialists at the National Strategic Command Headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, according to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency.
He emphasised that the Palestinian issue remains the central issue in the Middle East, and the failure to resolve it is the primary cause of instability in the region.
He also reaffirmed the principles of Egypt’s foreign policy, including supporting the security and stability of the Arab Gulf states and maintaining freedom of navigation in waterways in accordance with international law.
Al-Sisi’s statements come as the region continues to face crises and tensions, with Egypt playing an active role in mediation efforts and seeking political resolutions to regional conflicts.
