Egypt and Turkey Conduct Joint Air Exercises Amid Thawing Bilateral Relations
Cairo (ANTARA) - Egypt and Turkey have completed a joint military air exercise conducted over several days at multiple Egyptian air bases, the Egyptian military announced on Sunday.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Armed Forces, the exercise featured joint tactical scenarios and flight activities involving a number of the latest multi-role fighter jets from both countries, providing an opportunity to exchange tactical expertise.
The exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the Egyptian Air Force and its counterparts from friendly nations.
Egypt-Turkey relations were strained for nearly a decade from 2013. Bilateral ties have gradually improved in recent years, culminating in the mutual reappointment of ambassadors by both countries in 2023.
