Egg Prices Fall to Rp 29,850 per Kg, Beef and Bulk Cooking Oil Rise

Jakarta – Bank Indonesia (BI), through its National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), reported that the price of purebred chicken eggs fell by Rp 100 to Rp 29,950 per kg from the previous Rp 29,850 per kg. However, the price of grade I beef rose by Rp 600 to Rp 149,350 per kg, alongside bulk cooking oil which increased by Rp 150 to Rp 20,700 per litre.

Additionally, the National PIHPS noted that the price of red bird’s eye chilli reached Rp 72,650 per kg, shallots were Rp 52,600 per kg, and garlic was Rp 43,600 per kg. The price of lower-grade I rice was Rp 14,650 per kg, and lower-grade II rice was Rp 14,600 per kg. Meanwhile, medium-grade I rice was priced at Rp 16,300 per kg, and medium-grade II rice at Rp 16,100 per kg. Super-grade I rice was reported at Rp 17,600 per kg, and super-grade II rice at Rp 17,100 per kg.

The PIHPS also recorded the price of large red chillies at Rp 54,850 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp 54,750 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp 53,850 per kg. Fresh purebred chicken meat was Rp 37,050 per kg, grade I beef was Rp 149,350 per kg, and grade II beef was Rp 141,050 per kg. For other commodities, premium granulated sugar was priced at Rp 20,300 per kg and local granulated sugar at Rp 19,100 per kg, while branded packaged cooking oil I was Rp 24,200 per litre and branded packaged cooking oil II was Rp 23,400 per litre.
