Efforts to Develop Lubuk Hitam Waterfall in Padang Through Energy Self-Sufficiency

ANTARA – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Northern Sumatra Regional Office (Sumbagut) is encouraging the development of Lubuk Hitam Waterfall, in Bungus Teluk Kabung, Padang, West Sumatra, by helping to build a micro-hydropower plant (PLTMH) so the site can become energy-independent.

Alongside developing tourism and increasing visitor numbers, Pertamina is promoting the use of renewable energy to protect environmental sustainability in the coastal area, as well as supporting the development of processed products made by nearby micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
