Educational subsidy

From Kompas

The cost of education has been rising and is not likely to go
down, just like prices in general. The state is reportedly
suffering financial losses, but government officials are holding
seminars at star-rated hotels and having weekends in Bali.

It may be worthwhile for President Megawati Soekarnoputri to
note that an elementary school student attempted suicide because
his parents could not afford to pay a fee for extracurricular
school activities.

Fuel oil prices have been raised in order to subsidize
education, but we have no idea where this subsidy will be
distributed.

This is all because the President stays in her office and her
aides submit nice and neatly worded reports, though field
realities are the opposite of what their accounts describe.
