The government has stipulated that teaching and learning activities will remain normal amid energy efficiency efforts. All levels of basic to secondary education will continue with in-person learning. “The education sector will continue teaching and learning activities in-person, that is offline, normally across all levels of basic to secondary education five days a week,” said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto during a press conference on Tuesday (31/3/2026). Airlangga also stated that there are no restrictions on sports activities. Extracurriculars will also remain normal. “There are no restrictions on sports events related to achievements or other extracurricular activities,” he said. Meanwhile, for higher education, particularly from semester IV onwards, the government has set policies for teaching and learning to be further regulated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. “Whereas for higher education from semester IV onwards, it will adjust to the Circular Letter from the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology,” he stated.
