Education Ministry urges schools to regularly update infrastructure data on Dapodik
Jakarta - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has requested that educational units periodically update the condition of their facilities and infrastructure on the Dapodik portal to ensure that government policy interventions and assistance are accurately targeted.
Ministry Secretary General Suharti stated that the quality of data collection regarding the condition of facilities and infrastructure in the Dapodik system still requires improvement. “School participation in updating facilities and infrastructure data through Dapodik also needs to be enhanced. Accurate data is the main foundation for policy making,” Suharti said during a webinar on Educational Unit Infrastructure Data Collection in Jakarta on Wednesday.
She added that regularly updated data is a crucial instrument in ensuring the implementation of all policies is on target, including the execution of school revitalisation and the distribution of digital interactive flat panels (IFP). “Real data from the field will serve as the primary basis for the government in mapping revitalisation needs, setting handling priorities, preparing financing plans, and ensuring that government interventions truly address needs on the ground,” Suharti said.
She encouraged educational units not only to update data but also to conduct internal verification regarding information on the condition of facilities and infrastructure uploaded to the Dapodik system. “So, it is not just about updating data, but also ensuring that the inputted data has gone through an internal verification process. As well as encouraging educational units to complete the necessary supporting information and build close coordination with UPT, BPPMP/BPMP during the data collection process,” Suharti concluded.
