Education Ministry Summons 60,896 Teachers for Professional Certification Programme Phase 2
The Directorate of Teacher Professional Education (PPG) at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has officially summoned 60,896 teachers to participate in Phase 2 of the 2026 Teacher Professional Education programme for certain teachers. This move is part of the government’s effort to accelerate the teacher certification process throughout Indonesia.
Director of PPG at Kemendikdasmen, Ferry Maulana Putra, explained that the summoned teachers can check their status through the Sustainable Professional Development Information System (SIMPKB) application. The call is intended for teachers who have been declared to have met the administrative requirements.
“This summons for prospective participants of the PPG for Certain Teachers Phase 2 is the government’s commitment to accelerating the completion of teacher certification in Indonesia. We urge the summoned teachers to immediately confirm their participation in their respective SIMPKB accounts,” Ferry stated in Jakarta on Sunday (28/6) evening.
The participants come from various regions across Indonesia, stretching from Aceh to Papua, including teachers serving in Indonesian educational units abroad.
Ferry detailed several important stages that prospective participants must observe to ensure they do not miss any steps. Teachers who successfully complete the entire series of stages will obtain a professional certificate. This certificate serves as formal recognition of a teacher’s professionalism and is a primary requirement for receiving the professional allowance in accordance with prevailing regulations.
The programme is viewed as a form of justice for teachers who have long served but have not yet obtained their professional certificates. “We invite local governments, education offices, and all stakeholders to support the success of this programme,” Ferry added.
