Education Ministry Strengthens Priority Issue Resolution Through PSPB Movement

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is strengthening its strategy to resolve priority issues through the launch of the Universal Participation for Quality Education (PSPB) movement, which improves collaborative governance among partners in the primary and secondary education sector. Secretary General of Kemendikdasmen, Suharti, stated that the launch of the movement, accompanied by a platform, aims to strengthen mutual cooperation among all relevant parties in addressing priority issues in primary and secondary education. “Improving education is a collaborative effort. This Universal Participation for Quality Education movement we are undertaking is to enhance the quality of education in the country because the needs in education are still vast,” Suharti said during the event titled ‘Activation of the Universal Participation for Quality Education Movement’ at the Insan Berprestasi Plaza, Building A of Kemendikdasmen in Jakarta, Monday evening. She further explained several priority issues that will receive support from the PSPB movement and platform, including mentoring for teacher and education personnel training, particularly in supporting the implementation of deep learning, coding, and artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, the PSPB movement and platform will prioritise support for the provision of digital platforms that offer various educational services in an integrated manner, thereby creating added value for educational activities. In line with this, the ministry is also prioritising support for the provision of digital infrastructure, considering there are still 10,000 educational units requiring electricity and internet infrastructure support to facilitate the learning process. Finally, the PSPB movement and platform will be prioritised to support the school revitalisation programme, as there are still 215,000 schools in need of physical revitalisation.
