Education Ministry Strengthens Priority Issue Resolution Through PSPB Movement
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is strengthening its strategy to resolve several priority issues through the launch of the ‘Universal Participation for Quality Education’ (PSPB) movement, which aims to improve the collaborative governance of partners within the primary and secondary education sectors.
Suharti, the Secretary-General of Kemendikdasmen, stated that the launch of this movement, accompanied by a dedicated platform, aims to strengthen the collective cooperation of all stakeholders involved in resolving priority issues in primary and secondary education.
“Improving education is a collaborative effort. The Universal Participation for Quality Education movement that we are undertaking is intended to enhance the quality of education in the country, as educational needs remain vast,” said Suharti during an event titled ‘Activation of the Universal Participation for Quality Education Movement’ at the Plaza Insan Berprestasi, Kemendikdasmen Building A, Jakarta, on Monday night.
Furthermore, she explained that several priority issues will receive support through the PSPB movement and platform, including assistance in training teachers and educational personnel, particularly in supporting the implementation of deep learning, coding, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Additionally, the PSPB movement and platform will prioritise support for the provision of digital platforms that offer various integrated digital educational services, thereby creating added value for educational activities.
In line with this, the Ministry is also striving to prioritise support for the provision of digital infrastructure, noting that there are still 10,000 educational units in need of electricity and internet infrastructure to support the learning process.
Finally, the PSPB movement and platform will also prioritise supporting the revitalisation programme for educational units, as there are still 215,000 schools requiring physical revitalisation.
