Education Ministry Receives Additional Rp57 Trillion to Continue Prabowo's Quick Win Education Programmes

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has received an additional budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year (TA) of Rp57.71 trillion to continue a series of Quick Win Programmes (PHTC) in education initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti stated that his ministry had initially submitted a proposal for an Additional Expenditure Budget (ABT) of Rp101.68 trillion to fund several national priority work programmes directly mandated by the President.

“We initially submitted a proposal for an additional expenditure budget of Rp101.68 trillion to fund national priority work programmes as directed by the President and for handling post-disaster education services in the Sumatra region. The ABT proposal was approved on 28 June 2026 with a total additional budget of Rp57.71 trillion,” said Minister Mu’ti during a working meeting between the Ministry and House of Representatives Commission X in the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.

He further explained that the ABT disbursement will be carried out in two stages, with the first stage amounting to Rp28.76 trillion and the second stage totalling Rp28.94 trillion.

Regarding the allocation, he detailed that Rp37.32 trillion is earmarked for the continuation of the school revitalisation programme, Rp9 trillion for the continuation of digital learning, including the distribution of interactive flat panels (IFP), and Rp9.12 trillion for the implementation of the Integrated National School programme.

Additionally, the ABT will also be allocated for post-disaster recovery assistance amounting to Rp1.39 trillion, the provision of notebook assistance worth Rp833.27 billion, and Rp25.23 billion for the construction of teacher studios.

On a previous occasion (11 June), Minister Mu’ti stated that school revitalisation for 2026 is being accelerated, with progress currently at 70 percent of the allocated 11,744 schools, and several schools will be ready for the new academic year. This year, revitalisation is targeted at a total of 71,744 schools across Indonesia, comprising the initial 11,744 schools and an additional 60,000 schools proposed by the President.
