Education Ministry Opens Integrated National School Admissions from 21-24 July
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) will open the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for Integrated National Schools (SNT) at the junior and senior high school levels from 21 to 24 July 2026. Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti asserted that Kemendikdasmen is not cooperating with any party to promise admission or seek profit from the SNT student admission process. “The SPMB will commence from 21 July to 24 July 2026. We emphasise that no party can guarantee admission or profit from the student admission process outside official provisions,” Minister Mu’ti said during a Media Briefing on the Integrated National School Programme in Jakarta on Monday. He further explained that the SPMB for Integrated National Schools is only open to prospective students from the same region as the SNT. “SNT is intended for prospective students from the location where the SNT is established. For example, an SNT in Kupang Regency will accept prospective students from various areas within Kupang Regency,” Mu’ti stated. Prospective new SNT students, he continued, are those with above-average abilities, so the SNT SPMB stages are designed by a special team at the national level, not by local governments. For the first year, he said the ministry will only accept 40 new students for the SNT junior high school level and 40 for the senior high school level, with each level opening only two study groups or classes.
