The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has launched the Universal Participation for Quality Education Movement (PSPB) to strengthen the governance of collaboration among partners in the primary and secondary education sector. Secretary General of Kemendikdasmen, Suharti, stated that the launch marks the initial step in transforming the governance of national education collaboration, bridging all parties wishing to contribute to changes and improvements in primary and secondary education. “We want to ensure we partner with everyone, ensuring more efficient collaboration. From what was previously perhaps not well-targeted, we want to transform it into cooperation that is more dynamic and impactful,” she said during the event titled “Activation of the Universal Participation for Quality Education Movement” at the Insan Berprestasi Plaza, Building A of Kemendikdasmen in Jakarta, on Monday evening. The ministry will act as a facilitator, connecting educational needs with contributions through a structured, monitored, and accountable collaboration mechanism. In other words, Kemendikdasmen will provide a platform to match the needs in primary and secondary education with multi-party contributions through structured governance. In this regard, the ministry serves as a facilitator and does not collect or manage funds provided by partners. Therefore, all assistance, including monetary contributions from selected partners, is channelled directly by the partners to the beneficiaries, whether they are educational units, teachers, education personnel, or students. “So Kemendikdasmen does not collect money, does not collect funding sources, but acts as a partner that bridges contributors with beneficiaries,” Suharti concluded.
