Jakarta (ANTARA) — Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti reviewed the repeat sitting of the second-day Academic Competency Test (TKA) for senior secondary students after network problems affected a number of schools, including State Senior High School 68 in Central Jakarta.

Abdul Mu’ti said the school was retaking the TKA English test and the National Assessment’s Learning Environment Survey after network problems disrupted the first session of the first testing window on Tuesday (27 October).

“Thankfully, the TKA went smoothly. This is the replacement sitting for the second day, when there was a disruption. I asked them to stay relaxed and not panic too much, because they have finished the tests,” Abdul Mu’ti said after his visit to State Senior High School 68 in Central Jakarta on Friday afternoon.

The ministry has also issued Ministerial Circular Letter No. 22 of 2026 on repeat Academic Competency Tests and National Assessments for the English subject and Learning Environment Survey at schools using the online testing format in the first window, second day, session one of 2026.

Abdul Mu’ti said the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education was ready to facilitate repeat TKA and National Assessment sessions for the English test and Learning Environment Survey at schools using online tests that were affected by the technical problems.

Under the arrangements, the repeat TKA and National Assessment sessions are to be held on Friday (30 October), starting at 7 am Western Indonesia Time. Schools unable to hold the repeat tests at the appointed time may take them according to the make-up schedule.

Participants affected by technical problems who are confident they completed either or both of the English test and Learning Environment Survey may choose not to sit the repeat tests.
