JAKARTA (JP): Event organizer PT BisnisAsia MitraBuana is to
hold a seminar on education insurance at the Jakarta Convention
Center in Central Jakarta on Saturday and Sunday.

BisnisAsia spokeswoman Hesti Sudjana said yesterday that the
seminar, jointly sponsored by Astra Jardine CMG Life, is to be
opened by Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman Djojonegoro.

Hesti said that Ika Widyawati, a psychologist from the Pantara
Foundation, would speak on the early detection of children with
learning difficulties.

"The other two speakers will be Harry Dharsono, a designer,
and Seto Mulyadi, an entertainer. They will present papers on
practical methods on teaching children with learning difficulties
and the psychology of children respectively," she said.

The seminar will be accompanied by an exhibition of children's
books and toys, entertainment performances and several children's
competitions, she said.

Hesti said that the same two-day event would be held at the
World Trade Center in Surabaya from Aug. 23 and at Gedung Sasana
Budaya Ganesa, at the Bandung Technology Institute, from Aug. 30.

The proceeds from these activities will be donated to the
Pantara Foundation, which manages special schools for children
with learning difficulties, she said. (hhr)
