Education Chief Ensures No Internet Network Issues for Junior High TPA in Nusa Penida
The implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for junior high school (SMP) students has entered its second day. Students in Nusa Penida Subdistrict, Klungkung, Bali, could potentially face issues with internet connectivity, particularly in schools located in villages that still experience blank spots.
The Head of the Klungkung Education, Youth, and Sports Office (Disdikpora), I Ketut Sujana, stated that the first day of the TKA ran smoothly. He assured that potential obstacles such as electricity and internet connectivity had been anticipated well in advance.
“Before the implementation day, we had already coordinated directly with PLN and Telkom Klungkung. Our challenge is indeed in the schools in Nusa Penida Subdistrict, where there are still some blank spot areas to this day,” Sujana said when met by detikBali on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
Sujana explained the mitigation steps prepared for Nusa Penida to address internet connectivity issues, which involve assistance from the nearest schools. If there is a network disruption, the students from those schools will be relocated to continue the TKA at the nearest school with good connectivity.
“But so far, thankfully, everything has run smoothly. The Kominfo side may have also made improvements,” Sujana clarified.
According to Sujana, all junior high schools in Klungkung are participating in the TKA. There are 2,778 students from a total of 23 SMPs in Klungkung taking the exam.
Sujana hopes that the TKA results for the students can serve as the primary foundation for schools in ensuring the academic abilities of their pupils. He believes these results can also help determine the direction of education for children before they proceed to the next level.
“So, we inform the benefits to parents and the children, so the response is positive,” he concluded.
