EdgeConneX Begins Construction of 200 MW AI-Ready Hyperscale Campus in Greater Osaka Area
Osaka, Japan–(ANTARA/Business Wire)– EdgeConneX, a pioneering company in global Build-to-Suit and Build-to-Density data centre solutions, today announced that it has begun construction of a 200 MW AI-ready data centre campus in the Greater Osaka area. This key project, proceeding on schedule in collaboration with Kagoya Asset Management, reinforces the company’s commitment to the Japanese market and is designed to support the increasing demand for secure, resilient, and advanced digital infrastructure in the region.
The new hyperscale campus will be one of the largest in the Kansai region, with a footprint of 130,000 square metres and a planned power capacity of 200 MW. Strategically located approximately 30 km from Osaka’s central business district, the campus is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2028 as phase one. Construction follows the company’s market entry announcement in January 2025 and the development of a local team to support sustainable growth.
