Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung greeted residents of Bayam Compact Housing at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta. Pramono received a request from residents asking the Jakarta Provincial Government to provide assistance in establishing micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in the Bayam Compact Housing complex.

This occurred when Pramono attended the JIS Ramadan Fest 2026 at JIS on Sunday (1 March 2026). Initially, Pramono asked residents whether they were pleased with their current residence in the compact housing.

A resident named Winda expressed satisfaction, particularly since rental costs were currently being waived. However, she noted that the local economy remained unstable.

“For now, we’re not paying, sir. It’s probably about the economy, sir. Because there are many traders there but the population is small, so the economy is not very stable,” Winda told Pramono.

Pramono then asked whether Winda’s family circumstances had improved since moving there. Winda expressed gratitude that her life had become better.

“But given that you live there, do you feel that your life and your family’s life is better now?” Pramono continued.

“Praise be to God, yes sir. Because we have many bitter memories from when we lived in Nagrak,” Winda replied.

Pramono then asked what Winda wanted from the Jakarta Provincial Government to further improve life in the compact housing. Winda requested that the government boost residents’ economy by helping establish micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM).

“Apart from the economy, perhaps UMKM could be established in the compact housing. Also kindergarten education for children, and if possible, free adult education programmes (packages A, B, C),” Winda said.
