Economic Recap: Finfluencer Rules to MBG Governance
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has issued a regulation governing financial influencers (finfluencers) to encourage the delivery of clear, accurate, honest, and accessible information that is not potentially misleading, thereby strengthening consumer and public protection. The regulation is stipulated in OJK Regulation (POJK) Number 6 of 2026 concerning the Conduct of Information Providers in the Financial Services Sector.
The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has confirmed that the turnover of sellers or traders operating on various marketplace platforms will be accumulated in the calculation of tax obligations as stipulated in Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 37 of 2025. The Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that platforms appointed as tax collectors will report seller transaction data to the DJP.
President Prabowo Subianto, during the peak event of the XVII National Week of the Andalan Farmers and Fishermen Contact (KTNA) in Gorontalo on Wednesday, reaffirmed that Indonesia will soon achieve energy self-sufficiency, particularly in fuel. In relation to this, President Prabowo announced that B50 biodiesel fuel will be launched in July 2026.
Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi stated that the government is preparing a transport tariff stimulus for the 2026 school holiday period through to Christmas 2026 and New Year 2027 to maintain purchasing power, increase mobility, and drive national economic growth. The minister noted that incentives and transport discounts will also be provided for the Christmas 2026 and New Year 2027 periods.
Chair of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, has suggested that the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) gradually perfect the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. Luhut explained that his office received a visit from the Deputy Head of BGN and their team to evaluate the implementation of the priority programme to date.
