The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) will conduct the 2026 Economic Census (SE) for business actors from June to August. Census enumerators will carry out door-to-door data collection from one household and business to another, targeting respondents who are micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMK) actors, from 15 June to 31 August 2026 using the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method.

Census enumerators are not coming to collect debts or taxes. They are gathering basic data related to business activities and the socio-economic conditions of families. This data collection aims to understand the economic structure and business characteristics of a region.

During the census, respondents are expected to welcome the enumerators and provide answers according to the actual situation. Based on official information from BPS, the following are the characteristics of genuine 2026 Economic Census (SE) enumerators:

  • Enumerators wear complete attributes, including:

  • An identification card

  • A 2026 Economic Census (SE) vest

  • Enumerators carry an official assignment letter from BPS
