West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has declared ownership of several businesses spanning agriculture, livestock, and content creation whilst participating as a respondent in the 2026 Economic Census at his residence in Lembur Pakuan, Subang Regency, West Java. “Yes, there is a livestock business, hundreds of sheep and cattle. There are also rice fields, and the harvest is sold,” Dedi said when questioned by census officers on Sunday. In addition to farming and livestock, Dedi, affectionately known as KDM, also acknowledged running a content creator business. He further stated that he owns several plots of land, but these are not leased out. When asked by census officers whether his content creator enterprise is supported by an office building, Dedi replied that he does not have a dedicated office for that venture. The enumeration of Dedi Mulyadi at his Subang home was witnessed directly by Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, Deputy Chairman of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Sonny noted that the Economic Census in West Java targets recording 5.54 million business actors and approximately 17.7 million households. “The numbers are very large, with business actors reaching millions, because West Java’s population is indeed quite substantial,” he said. BPS has deployed 40,573 field officers to carry out the Economic Census across West Java. He confirmed that the census is being conducted by officers visiting households door-to-door. This method is essential to identify digital businesses run by the public, as many enterprises operate without any physical signage.
