ECFIN to hold seminar
JAKARTA (JP): The Institute for Economic and Financial Research (ECFIN) will hold a seminar on the prospects of investment in mutual funds on Dec. 15 at Hotel Borobudur.
Managing director of the institute Sjahrir said yesterday that the seminar would feature speakers who have expertise in their field including Dennis de Tray, country director of the World Bank and executive director of the Centre for Strategic of International Studies (CSIS) who will speak about macroeconomic conditions in Indonesia.
Other speakers include experts from investment management companies such as Agus Dharma from PT Intru Nusantara, Iwan Pontjowinoto from Danareksa Fund Management, John Budiharsana from Bahana TCW Investment Management, Howard Chu from Bira Asset Management and Herijanto Irawan from Jardine Fleming Nusantara Investment Management.
Sjahrir said the seminar was expected to discuss the financing of portfolio investment amid the monetary crisis in Indonesia and other Asian regions. (aly)
