Decile is a system for grouping the socio-economic conditions of society, divided into a scale ranging from 1 to 10:

• Decile 1: Groups of people with very poor/extreme economic conditions.

• Decile 2: Poor groups.

• Decile 3: Near-poor groups.

• Decile 4: Vulnerable poor groups.

• Decile 5: Groups transitioning towards the middle class.

• Decile 6-10: Middle-class groups up to the highest economic bracket.

It should be noted that determining this status is not solely based on income levels, but refers to 39 assessment variables, such as housing conditions, asset ownership, household expenditure levels, as well as access to education and basic services.

Decile status is one of the government’s main references in determining social assistance (bansos) recipients.

To check this status, you only need to prepare your NIK according to your KTP to find out your family’s welfare level and the chances of receiving assistance.

Steps to Check Decile Status:

• Open the page cekbansos.kemensos.go.id.

• Enter your NIK and regional data according to your KTP.

• Enter the verification code that appears on the screen.

• Click Cari Data.

• The system will display information on the recipient’s identity, decile group, type of social assistance obtained, and the distribution period.
