Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta is providing a total of 226,225 seats (tickets), or an average of 46,003 seats per day, during the Easter long holiday period from 2-6 April 2026. “As of now, more than 126,000 tickets have been sold for journeys during that period,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Thursday. During the Easter holiday period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta will operate a total of 85 train services per day, consisting of 68 regular trains and 17 additional trains, to meet public needs. Of the total 17 additional trains operated, 11 additional trains will depart from Gambir Station and 6 from Pasar Senen Station. This addition of services is intended to strengthen regular train services while providing more schedule options and travel routes for the public. On Thursday, the passenger boarding volume rose to 35,918 people, while alighting passengers numbered 35,886 people. For boarding passengers, Pasar Senen Station had the highest volume at 15,171 people, followed by Gambir Station with 12,173 people, and Bekasi Station with 4,095 people. Meanwhile, for alighting passengers, the highest volume was recorded at Pasar Senen Station with 15,641 people, followed by Gambir Station with 7,374 people, and Bekasi Station with 5,498 people. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta urges the public to book tickets through the KAI Access app and available official channels, and to arrive early at the station to ensure a smooth departure process.
