East Timor to supply workers

DILI, East Timor: The local office of the Ministry of Manpower
plans to send 600 workers to 10 provinces in an effort to reduce
the high unemployment rate, Antara reported.

The office's head, Yosep Susanto, said on Saturday that the
workers will be sent in three batches, beginning on Sept. 6 to
South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

Others will go to Riau, Jambi, South Sulawesi and South
Sumatra from October to December.

Since 1991, the local manpower office has sent a total of
1,605 workers to other provinces. (31)
