East Lombok DPMPTSP Receives Positive Assessment from Investment Ministry, Performance Indicators Improve
The East Lombok Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) has recorded an improvement in performance following a self-assessment conducted by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia. The improvement was seen in several service indicators assessed during the first semester of 2026.
Head of the East Lombok DPMPTSP, Sosiawan Putraji, stated that the evaluation results showed a positive trend in aspects of the One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) and the acceleration of Business Licensing Services (PPB). “Of the three indicators assessed up to June, our achievements show quite good improvement. For the PPB indicator, for example, where the previous year it was around 65,800, it became 86,142 in 2026. Then for the one-stop integrated service, it rose from 82,250 the previous year to 87,565 in 2026,” said Sosiawan.
According to him, this improvement is inseparable from the commitment of the East Lombok DPMPTSP to providing services that prioritise the principles of ease, comfort, safety, and transparency, and are oriented towards the satisfaction of the community and business actors. However, Sosiawan acknowledged that there are still several programmes that must be implemented in stages to improve the quality of investment and licensing services in the region, from good to even better.
“Regarding anything related to business licensing, we are ready to facilitate, advocate, or provide assistance. Even for licensing sectors that are not under the authority of the district, we still help coordinate with the provincial or central government,” he said. He explained that this effort is made to encourage the growth of investment in East Lombok to develop further. One example of investment considered to have a positive impact is the investment in the health sector in the Sembalun area, which was recently inaugurated by the Regent of East Lombok.
According to him, this investment not only strengthens public health services but also supports the development of the tourism sector in Sembalun. The presence of this health facility has also synergised with the local government, in this case the Health Office and community health centres, through patient referral cooperation. “This is a new breakthrough in smart governance that opens up investment opportunities in various sectors. However, all investments must still prioritise regulatory principles and applicable legal provisions,” he said.
Sosiawan assessed that the local government’s consistency in providing easy services while ensuring regulatory compliance is one of the factors supporting the improved assessment results from the ministry. In the evaluation, the assessment team also provided several recommendations to the East Lombok DPMPTSP. These include maintaining the performance achievements that have been attained, strengthening service innovations, and continuing direct service programmes to the community through on-the-spot service activities.
In addition, supervision and control of business actors are also a primary concern, particularly regarding the implementation of business activities after a Business Identification Number (NIB) is issued. “Improvements in supervision, control, service innovation, and education for business actors are requested to be continuously enhanced,” he said. He added that this direction is in line with the investment target set by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM for East Lombok Regency in 2026, which is Rp1.25 trillion. “Last year, investment realisation was still in the range of 30 to 40 percent. Hopefully, this year and in the future, it can continue to increase,” he said.
