East Lombok Chromebook Corruption Case Unresolved, Prosecutor's Office Urges Patience
The East Lombok District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) is continuing its investigation into alleged corruption in the procurement of Chromebooks worth Rp 32 billion, sourced from the 2022 Special Allocation Fund (DAK). The public has been asked to be patient while awaiting the outcome of the case’s development.
Head of the East Lombok Kejari, I Gusti Ayu Agung Fitria Chandrawati, said the inquiry process is still ongoing. Investigators are currently delving into a number of facts related to the case.
“It is still in process,” said Fitria when met at the East Lombok Regent’s Office on Wednesday (29/7/2026).
Fitria assured that the prosecutor’s office would inform the public of the latest developments once the process yields results.
“When there are further developments, we will announce them. Please be patient for now,” she said briefly.
Previously, the East Lombok Kejari issued a new investigation order (Sprinlid) to follow up on the case’s development. At this stage, investigators scheduled examinations of former East Lombok Regent Sukiman Azmy and East Lombok Regional Secretary Muhammad Juaini Taofik.
In this corruption case involving the procurement of information and communication technology (ICT) devices in the form of Chromebooks in 2022, six people have stood trial and been found guilty.
They are Libert Hutahaean, director of PT Temprina Media Grafika; Lia Anggawari, director of PT Dinamika Indo Media; As’Ad, former secretary of the East Lombok Education and Culture Office; commitment-making officer (PPK) Amrulloh; Salmukin, director of CV Cerdas Mandiri; and M Jaosi, also known as Ojik, marketing staff of PT Jepe Press Media Utama.
In the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Court ruling, all six defendants were proven to have committed corruption and were sentenced to varying punishments.
Libert Hutahaean was sentenced to eight years in prison and a fine of Rp 500 million, with a subsidiary penalty of 140 days’ imprisonment. He was also ordered to pay Rp 3.2 billion in compensation, with a subsidiary penalty of three years and six months.
Lia Anggawari was sentenced to seven years in prison and a fine of Rp 400 million, with a subsidiary penalty of 120 days. She was also ordered to pay Rp 534 million in compensation, with a subsidiary penalty of three years and six months.
Meanwhile, Amrulloh and As’Ad were each sentenced to six years in prison and fined Rp 300 million, with a subsidiary penalty of 100 days.
Defendant Salmukin was sentenced to eight years in prison and a fine of Rp 500 million, with a subsidiary penalty of 140 days. He was also required to pay Rp 2 billion in compensation, with a subsidiary penalty of four years.
M Jaosi was sentenced to seven years in prison and a fine of Rp 350 million, with a subsidiary penalty of 110 days. He was also ordered to pay Rp 238 million in compensation for state losses, with a subsidiary penalty of three years.
The Chromebook procurement project was funded by the 2022 Special Allocation Fund (DAK) amounting to Rp 32 billion. State losses in the case reached Rp 9.2 billion, based on calculations by a public accounting firm.
Previously, prosecutors promised to follow up on the order of the NTB High Court panel of judges to develop the corruption investigation. The NTB High Court asked prosecutors to extend the investigation to former East Lombok Regent Sukiman Azmy and East Lombok Regional Secretary Muhammad Juaini Taofik.
“It is an order, so we must certainly look into it. But as the investigation has not yet been concluded — there has been no decision from the team — we will continue to examine and follow up on it,” said Ugik Ramantyo, Head of the Intelligence Section (Kasi Intel) of the East Lombok District Prosecutor’s Office, when contacted by detikBali on Monday (22/6/2026).
